Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To excavate a cylindrical hole for an electric pole or the like efficiently by excavating the ground by a center bit and a screw, and after storing excavated sediment in a cylindrical casing, discharging the excavated sediment by a push-out member. CONSTITUTION: A first driving shaft 9 is driven by a second driving device 7 through a clutch member 8 so as to excavate the ground G by a center bit 22 provided at the tip and a screw 34. A cylindrical casing 12 provided with bits 13 at the tip is then rotated by driving a second driving shaft 10 by the second driving device 7 through the clutch member 8, and also slided downward along the first driving shaft 9 by a first driving device 6. Excavated sediment is stored in the casing 12 by the blades of the screw 34. The whole excavating device is then lifted and moved onto a transporter, and the casing 12 is lifted to discharge the excavated sediment onto the transporter by a push-out member 17.
