WATERPROOF LIGHTING EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE: To prevent rainwater or the like from infiltrating in the inside by closing an air hole, formed in an upper half of a light source cylinder part, with a porous resin film, and further coating the air hole with a waterproof packing having an air hole, drain hole and an air circulating groove. CONSTITUTION: A circular air hole 9 is drilled in an upper part of a cylinder part 2 in the vicinity of a connecting part between a light source cylinder part 2 and a reflector part 3, and this hole 9 is closed by a fluororesin-made porous resin film 10 of permitting not water but air to pass through. In the vicinity of the connecting part between the cylinder part 2 and the reflector part 3, a ring-shaped waterproof cover packing 11 is mounted in the periphery of the cylinder part 2 so as to cover the hole 9 closed by the film 10. This packing 11 is formed of a belt-shaped ring-shaped body composed of synthetic rubber, to having an air hole 13 in a lower half peripheral surface side part and a drain hole 13a in the lowermost, also to arrange an air circulating groove 17 so as to cover the hole 9. In this way, in a rainfall condition, even when performed lighting and putting out a lighting equipment, sucking rainwater into the groove 17 is decreased, to discharge the rainwater even when temporarily infiltrated from the hole 13a.
