Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: To obtain a solution of a catalyst for the polymerization of polyester resin, having excellent solution stability and long-term storage stability and storable over a long period at room temperature without forming precipitate by dissolving an antimony compound and a specific aliphatic dicarboxylic acid in ethylene glycol. CONSTITUTION: An antimony compound such as antimony trioxide or antimony acetate is dissolved in ethylene glycol together with one or more kinds of compounds selected from aliphatic dicarboxylic acids of formulas I to III [R1 to R4 are each H, hydroxyl, a (cyclo)alkyl, an aryl, an aralkyl, allyl or an alkoxy; m is >=1], etc., such as succinic acid. The amount of the aliphatic dicarboxylic acid is preferably 0.1-2mol based on 1mol of the antimony atom contained in the antimony compound. |
