PRODUCTION OF TRIPHENYLBORANE-AMINE COMPLEX COMPOUND

PURPOSE: To easily obtain the subject complex compound industrially, useful for a foul preventing agent for a fishing net, a bottom paint for a ship, etc., by dropping a specific primary amine or pyridine compound to the aqueous solution of a NaOH adduct or a KOH adduct of triphenylborane. CONSTITUTION: This (E) triphenylborane-amine complex of formula IV (← X is the group of formula V, etc.) is obtained by reacting (A) a sodium hydroxide adduct of triphenylborane of formula I or (B) a potassium hydroxide adduct of triphenylborane of formula II with (C) a primary amine of the formula R -NH2 (R is an alkyl, a halogen substituted alkyl, a cycloalkyl, an aryl, an alkenyl or an aralkyl) or (D) a pyridine compound of formula III (R to R are each an alkyl, a halogen substituted alkyl, a cycloalkyl, phenyl, a halogen, an alkoxy, an alkenyl or an aralkyl) in an aqueous solution. For example, triphenylborane-n-propylamine complex is obtained by reacting the aqueous solution of the component A with n-propylamine.
