In the prepn. of amino-functional organosilanes (I) contg. little or no chloro-functional silanes (II) by reacting (II) with organic amines or NH3 and sepg. the organic ammonium chloride and/or NH4Cl formed, the small amt. of unreacted (I) is then reacted with metal alkoxide(s).
