CONSTITUTION: This extendable long handle for a pair of scissors, a saw or a holding tool, etc., is obtained by constituting plural pipe units, inserted and fitted so as to enable the inserting and removal on the inside and outside, forming recessed grooves 7 and 17 housing rack rods in the longitudinal direction in either of mutually adjacent pipe nits and installing engaging members 9 and 19 capable of freely detachably engaging and locking with the rack rods 8 and 18 in the other pipe unit so as to connect the pipe units at positions in the longitudinal direction corresponding to the desired extended and contracted length in a restrained state.
