Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To shorten the time required for arranging the backup pin planting work by inserting the lower end of backup pin into the pin insertion hole of a pin supporting board and displaying the position of backup pin to be planted on the pin supporting board. CONSTITUTION: The supporting mechanism for printed wiring board 2 receives a pin position data supply unit 11 and a pin position display 12. A pin position data from the pin position data supply unit 11 designates the optimal position of a backup pin 7 to be planted on a pin supporting board 5 depending on the position of a device to be mounted on the printed wiring board 2 or the wiring pattern thereof. Based on a designated data, profile of the pin supporting board, profile of the printed wiring board, pin position at the intersection of X and Y axes, and device mounting position are displayed over the entire screen. With such arrangement, the backup pin 7 can be planted mechanically and the arranging time can be shortened.
