SUCTION FILTER

PURPOSE: To make long-term continuous operation possible by providing a filter element cleaning nozzle on the secondary side of a suction filter for cleaning sucked air, and rotating the nozzle by the blast pressure of exhaust so as to remove dirt and foreign matter in the whole circumferential area of the element. CONSTITUTION: In an oil-cooled screw compressor, a suction filter element 2 is fitted to a suction filter body 3 through a fitting cover 5. Air to be cleaned flows in from an inlet provided at the suction filter body 3 and flows out of an outlet provided on the secondary side of the element 2 after being filtered by the element 2. In this case, an element cleaning nozzle 1 is installed on the secondary side of the element 2 through the fitting cover 5. At the time of compressor displacement control or the like, compressed air from a pipeline 4 is blasted from the element cleaning nozzle 1. The nozzle 1 is thereby rotated to discharge dirt and foreign matter, clogging the element 2, from an exhaust port 6.
