Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To produce a wholly aromatic polyamide fiber excellent in the strength from a whole aromatic polyamide forming an isotropic dope soluble in organic solvents and excellent in hydrolysis resistance and chemical resistance. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing a whole aromatic polyamide fiber comprises subjecting a whole aromatic polyamide fiber obtained by wet-spinning an isotropic dope and having a crystal orientation degree of 89% determined by a wide-angle X-ray diffraction and a crystallinity of >=74% to a stretched thermal treatment at a tension of 50-90% based on the breaking tension of the fiber under a temperature (T deg.C) satisfying the below-described inequality.
