Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To restrain the erosion caused by high temp., to obtain the characteristic excellent in heat shock resistance and to largely improve the service life by specifying the composition of a riding skid. CONSTITUTION: In the riding skid constituting a base seal in a hot scarfing device, this composition is composed of an alloy cast product of >=50wt% Cr and the balance substantially Fe. Therein, the composition ratio of Cr is desirable to be 55-65wt%. As the producing method, after melting alloy raw material in a melting furnace, a reduced pressure suck-up casting is executed to the molten metal into a mold arranged above the melting furnace. By this method, the riding skid excellent in the prevention of the erosion caused by the high temp. and improving the heat shock resistance can be obtd.
