ACCUMULATOR FUEL INJECTION DEVICE

PURPOSE: To prevent fuel from leaking from a fuel passage surely by interposing the solenoid opening/closing valve of a normally closing type in a fuel passage for allowing a fuel infection valve to communicate with an accumulator chamber and opening the solenoid opening/closing valve nearly in synchronism with the opening period of the fuel injection valve. CONSTITUTION: When the solenoid 62 of a solenoid opening/closing valve 26 of a normally closing type interposed in a fuel passage leading to a fuel injection valve is energized on engine operation, an outer valve 44 is moved upward opposing to a valve spring 64. At this time, the inner valve 46 is retained on a descent position which abuts on a spacer washer 56 by a valve spring 66, and thereby, a valve seat 50 is apart from a valve body 52, an upstream side valve passage 40 is opened, and injection of fuel is started. When leakage of fuel is detected after fuel injection, the valve spring 64 is pressurized and displaced while tightening both valves 44, 46 with each other by pressure difference between both pressures in an upstream and an downstream, and the outer valve 44 abuts on an upper valve housing 36b so as to prevent leakage.
