Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide an external-appearance inspecting method for electronic parts, which can accurately inspect whether floating and position deviation are present or not in the electronic part mounted on a substrate by using cameras. CONSTITUTION:An electronic part 52, which is mounted on a substrate 4, is observed with a pair of side cameras at the right and left, and two images 82 and 83 are obtained. The positions of two images 82 and 83 are compared with the position of the reference image of a normal electronic part 52. When the positions of two images 82 and 83 are displaced in the same direction, floating is judged. When the positions are displaced in the reverse direction, position deviation is judged.
