COIL TRANSPORTING FACILITY

PURPOSE: To reduce the size of facility by arranging 1st transporting rails which are travelable from the starting point of coil transportation to the end, 2nd transporting rails for returning a transporting truck from the end to the starting point above the 1st transporting rails and devices for elevating and lowering the transporting truck at the starting point and the end. CONSTITUTION: The coil 2 which is supplied from a coil supplying line 1 is transported by the transporting truck 3 along the outgoing rails 4a from the starting point A to the end B and carried out to the next process 5. The truck is loaded on an elevating/lowering frame 6 at the end B, elevated by the hoisting device 8 provided on a hoisting frame truck 7 and connected to the incoming rails 4b. The transporting truck 3 is returned from the end C to the starting point D on the incoming rails 4b, loaded on a lowering frame 9 and lowered by a lowering device 11. In this way, remarkable reduction of planar installation space is achieved as compared with conventional equipment and also high transporting efficiency is attained.
