TEXTURING COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: To ensure satisfactory CSS characteristics by using a texturing compsn. contg. fine particles of a hard material, alkylene glycol monoalkyl ether represented by a prescribed formula and a fatty acid having a prescribed number of carbon atoms or its metallic salt. CONSTITUTION: This texturing compsn. contains fine particles or powder of at least one among diamond, cubic BN, alumina, silicon carbide, etc., alkylene glycol monoalkyl ether represented by the general formula and at least one of 10-22C fatty acids or their metallic salts. In the formula, R1 is 1-4C straight or branched chain alkyl, (m) is an integer of 1-3 and (n) is 2 or 3. When this compsn. is used, the occurrence of burrs is perfectly or nearly prevented, low surface roughness and uniform streaks by texturing are obtd. and remarkably satisfactory CSS characteristics and such characteristics as few recording error and high recording density are ensured.
