MONITOR FOR WEAR AND ATTACHMENT ON MELTING FURNACE INNER WALL

PURPOSE: To provide a monitor with a simplified structure for automatically detecting wear of a furnace inner wall or slag scab on the inner wall of the same during operation without altering a structure of a melting furnace body and without providing an independent monitor. CONSTITUTION: A monitor is constructed with a furnace inner wall monitor/ calculation unit 23 wherein a meter transformer 24 and a meter transformer 25 are connected with a melting power circuit and a relationship between inverter voltage and inverter current is detected and these numerical values are processed to estimate wear of an inner wall 4c of a crucible 4a and slag scab on the inner wall, and with an alarm display unit 26 for displaying an alarm of a signal of the furnace inner wall monitor/calculation unit 23. In this case, the furnace inner wall monitor/calculation unit 23 comprises an arithmetic operation processor such as a microcomputer, etc., and has previously stored a predetermined relation equation for desired arithmetic operation.
