UNIT FOR VAPORIZING LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS FOR FUEL IN NATURAL-GAS-FIRED GAS TURBINE-COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT

PURPOSE: To provide a highly reliable fuel unit for power generation which can generate, as required, gasified natural gas suitable as fuel in power plants and is free from fears of freezing of water that obstruct normal operation by installing LNG gasifiers, a heating medium vaporizer, a suction gas cooler and pipeline, making use of the cold heat of fuel LNG to cool the suction gas of a gas turbine and the equipments of the power plant, and making use of the qualified heat source thus obtained to conduct heat-exchange between heating water and LNG through a noncombustible heating medium by means of a closed loop for plant cooling water. CONSTITUTION: The heating medium used is 1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethane. The LNG gasifiers are mounted in a position higher than the heating medium vaporizer. In the drawing, gas turbine suction gas is cooled by cooling water in the suction gas cooler 22 and the cooling water having received heat is used as heating water to gasify LNG through a noncombustible heating medium A in the heating medium vaporizer 1 and the LNG gasifiers 2, 3, 4. If necessary, cooling water used to cool the equipments 30 in the power plant is introduced into the heating medium vaporizer 1 through the inlet of the plant water cooler 35 so as to be used as heating water.
