Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To obtain a light-weight concrete excellent in fluidity, having a high strength and a high modulus of elasticity by using an artificial aggregate of fly ash having a fixed absolute dry specific gravity as a coarse aggregate. CONSTITUTION: This light-weight high-strength concrete uses an artificial aggregate of fly ash having 1.8-2.2 absolute dry specific gravity as a coarse aggregate. The artificial aggregate of fly ash is obtained by baking a granule consisting essentially of fly ash and comprises =50wt.% of particles having >=10mm particle diameters. The percentage of absolute volume of the artificial aggregate of fly ash is >=65%, preferably 63-70%, the unit volume weight of the concrete is 2.0-2.2kg/1 and the unit cement (e.g. Portland cement) amount is 400kg/m . The added amount of a high-performance water reducing agent (a polycarboxylic acid-based high- performance water reducing agent) is 0.1-10wt.% based on 100 pts.wt. of a binder. Calcium nitrite is effectively added.
