ROTATING HOPPER

PURPOSE: To easily collapse sediment of soil and sand or the like due to sticking of the sediment on an inner peripheral wall of a hopper for cleaning by providing upper and lower hoppers respectively including an open/close gate for opening/closing a sediment injection opening and hanging a scrape chain inside the lower hopper. CONSTITUTION: In a rotating hopper comprising upper and lower hoppers A, B, a chain 22 is unwound from a take-out drum 5 and hung along a peripheral wall inside the lower hopper B. When soil and sand is put from a sediment injection port of the upper hopper A with an open/close gate C opened and a predetermined amount has been reserved in the hopper, a sediment discharge port D of the lower hopper B is opened to discharge the sediment into a sediment transporting vehicle or the like. When such operations have been repeated so that the sediment sticks inside the hopper causing a discharging failure, the chain 22 is taken up around the take-up drum 5, and cleaning is done wherein cleaning water is ejected through a nozzle opening 26 and the sediment sticking to the hopper peripheral wall is removed.
