Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To improve the operability of each cover, to constitute each cover in a small space, and to arrange each cover at an optimum position in an enclosure when recording paper is discharged forcibly. CONSTITUTION: A printer is composed of an enclosure case which determines the form of the printer, a main frame 10 which is installed in the enclosure case and forms the transfer passage of recording paper, a paper transfer roller 19 which is installed in a part of the passage formed in the main frame 10, a pinch frame 17 having a pinch roller 17a for transferring recording paper in collaboration with the roller 19, a mechanical cover 13 which is installed on the upper surface of the enclosure case opposite to the pinch frame 17, and a battery cover 14 placed opposite the end of the cover for the mechanism. In addition, the battery cover 14 is formed to be able to slide on the enclosure case, and a paper supply port for recording paper is formed between the battery cover 14 and the cover for the mechanism by sliding the battery cover 14.
