AUTO-CHANGER SYSTEM FOR RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE: To enable a medium carrier to travel in an increased storage structure and to simplify and facilitate the increase of a storage unit without restricting the number of increasing units by automatically connecting rails for traveling a medium carrier means and feeder plates at the linkage of the storage units. CONSTITUTION: Wall surfaces of medium storage units 1 and a control unit 2 having the same external size as the storage unit are fixed with the rails 4 for traveling the medium carrier 8, consisting of vertical rails 4a and horizontal rails 4b respectively to be orthogonal to each other in the middle under conditions of strictly specific dimensions. Then, a supporting plate is provided, and is equipped with the feeder plates connecting electrically with linkage connector and concurrently linkage mechanisms 6 on both sides. Thus, the storage unit 1 and the control unit 2 are capable of connecting either way in vertical or horizontal direction by the linkage mechanisms 6, and by connecting work of the storage unit 1 and the control unit 2 or the storage units 1 themselves, the individual rails 4 are joined up without adjustment, and also the feeder plates are electrically connected up between the adjacent units, so that the medium carrier 8 is capable of traveling in the units.
