Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a multiple gradation display driving method and a device for a liquid crystal display device that displays multiple gradations without using an analog driving IC. CONSTITUTION: A multiple gradation display driving device for a liquid crystal display device is provided with a row function generator 10 for generating a row function, a column signal computer 20 for inputting and computing the row function and display data so as to output column data, a reference voltage selection signal generator 30 for inputting clock so as to generate a reference voltage selection signal, a column signal generator 40 for generating a large number of column reference voltage and distributing column reference voltage selected according to the reference voltage selection signal so as to generate multilevel column voltage and to drive column electrodes according to column data, and a row signal generator 50 for generating a large number of row reference voltage and distributing row reference voltage selected according to the reference voltage selection signal so as to generate multilevel row voltage and to drive row electrodes according to the row function.
