When such a crystal 6 is placed on a slide face, the flow resistance of a viscous lubricating oil is decreased on the slide face, and the lubricating oil flows smoothly. Consequently, the shear resistance of the lubricating oil film formed on the slide face is decreased, and the friction loss is reduced.
