Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a slide face constituting body capable of reducing a friction loss even when the viscosity of lubricant is high. CONSTITUTION: This slide face constituting body is formed with an aggregate of metallic crystals. The area ratio of the rounded pyramidal metallic crystal 6 on the slide face is controlled to 40 to 100%. Each ridgeline 7 on the crystal 6 is projectingly arched, and each region 8 corresponding to a slope between the adjacent ridgelines 7 consists of two strip regions 9 each as a slope on one side constituting the ridgeline 7 and a V-grooved region 8 extended to both strip regions 9 and with the opening width gradually decreased from the bottom side 10 toward the top side 11. When such a crystal 6 is placed on a slide face, the flow resistance of a viscous lubricating oil is decreased on the slide face, and the lubricating oil flows smoothly. Consequently, the shear resistance of the lubricating oil film formed on the slide face is decreased, and the friction loss is reduced.
