POLYOLEFIN RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: To obtain a polyolefin resin compsn. which is prevented from the whitening and degradation in mechanical strengths due to ultraviolet rays by compounding a polyolefin resin with a woody fiber material and an ultraviolet absorber having a specified m.p. CONSTITUTION: A particulate polyolefin resin compsn. contg. a woody fiber material is prepd. by homogeneously melt mixing 100 pts.wt. at least one polyolefin resin selected from among a high-density PE, a low-density PE, PP, polybutene, polyisoprene, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, an ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer, etc., with 20-200 pts.wt. woody fiber material comprising a wood-derived or plant-fiber-derived substance such as wood powder pulp, paper, cotton, rayon, staple fibers, etc., and having an average max. length of 1-500 μm and a water content of 0.8wt.% or lower, 0. 01-10 pts.wt. ultraviolet absorber having an m.p. of 200 deg.C or higher, and if necessary a lubricant having an m.p. of 200 deg.C or higher at 180-200 deg.C with a mixer.
