Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide an automatic feeder which can prevent duplicate feed and skew feed by improving stacking performance (loading performance) of a sheet. CONSTITUTION: At feed standby time of a sheet 3, a separating bank part 2B of a holding plate 2 checks a tip part of the sheet 3, and the sheet 3 is prevented from falling from above a pressure plate 4 by the separating bank part 2B. On the other hand, at sheet feeding time, rotational displacement of the holding plate 2 is allowed by a feeding roller cam lever 5A, and it is displaced to a feeding position K from a standby position S, and a feeding roller 5 smoothly feeds the sheet 3 on the pressure plate 4. As a result, there is no doubt that smooth feed of the sheet 3 becomes possible, and stacking performance of the sheet 3 is improved, and duplicate feed and skew feed of the sheet 3 can be prevented.
