LATERAL TURNING PREVENTION DEVICE FOR DUMP TRUCK

PURPOSE: To actuate an alarm when the roll moment of the truck determined based on the load on each wheel and the lateral inclined angle of a deck exceeds a specified value. CONSTITUTION: Loads MTF and MTR acting on respective wheels 3 and 4 are determined respectively based on signals from respective height sensors 21, loads MNF and MNR acting on the dump body support points of an under carriage 5 are determined based on the loads MTF and MTR acting on the respective wheels 3 and 4, and a vertical distance hS between the centroid OB of a dump body 9 and the roll center of the truck is determined based on the loads MNF and MFR acting on the dump body support points of the under carriage 5, so that a roll moment is thereby determined. When the roll moment is greater than a specified value n1, a warning unit 28 is actuated, and furthermore, when the roll moment is greater than n2 (n2>n1), a solenoid change-over valve is returned to a neutral position, which controls the hydraulic circuit of an actuator 7 drivingly inclines the dump body 9.
