Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To eliminate a swell due to excess thickness remained on the side face of a flange by forming on an end face of the flange a recessed part for storing the excess thickness produced in the roll forming of an under head recess of a thread portion. CONSTITUTION: Thread rolling, as well as under head clearance rolling, is performed on the other end of the shaft part 2 of a rough shape material by the use of a form rolling device, forming a thread part and also recessing to provide an under head recess 2b. In this case, the excess thicknesses 4, 5 are still produced, of which the excess thickness 4 moving in the radius direction of an end face of the head 1 successively fills the recessed part to form a bearing surface 4a with a new end face. As a result, the excess thickness 4 is not caused to swell on the side face 1b of the head 1. The excess thickness 5 swelling on the other end of the under head recess 2b of the shaft part 2 is neither caused to interfere with the rod by being crushed easily through burnishing because the shaft part 2 is a simple cylindrical face. Therefore, such a product can be fixed by a large axial tension by expanding the flat face of the bearing surface 4a.
