Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide an optical information reader with simple constitution capable of easily assembling and adjusting. CONSTITUTION: Reflection light reflected by an optical disk is made incident on a photodetector 81. A difference between received light quantities of light receiving elements 81b1 and 81b2 is detected in an operation part 91a, and a focus error signal is generated based on it. The difference between the received light quantities of the light receiving elements 81a and 81c is detected in the operation part 91b, and a tracking error signal is generated based on it. The sum total of the received light quantities of the light receiving elements 81b1, 81b2, 81b3 are calculated in the operation part 91c, and a recording information detection signal is generated based on it.
