ROTARY MAGNETIC HEAD DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a stable tape contact without depending on a cylinder rotary speed and the kind of a tape by sandwiching an elastic thin plate the direction of a cylinder rotary center and adhering a magnetic head in a head base. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic head 1 is adhered in a head base 2, sandwiching an elastic thin plate 5. With the thin plate 5 elastically deformed depending on its contact pressure with a magnetic tape 8, the head 1 moves into a cylinder 4 and its protruding amount becomes smaller than that initially set. Such a change in a protruding amount sets the material and form of the thin plate 5 in proportion to a contact pressure between the head 1 and the tape 8. Thus, the protruding amount of the head 1 continuously changes depending on its contact pressure with the tape 8.
