INTAKE MANIFOLD

PURPOSE: To prevent the reduction of engine performance and prevent the reduction of strength of a whole intake manifold when wall thickness of branched pipes is made thin. CONSTITUTION: It is an intake manifold provided with a plenum chamber which is made of aluminum and has an intake inlet and a plurality of intake outlets and a plurality of branched pipes 4 which are made of flattened aluminum material and are connected to each intake outlet of the plenum chamber. An exhaust gas distributing pipe 13 which is provided with an exhaust gas inlet at one end and is made of extruded shape aluminum is arranged in such a manner that it crosses all the branched pipes 4. A plurality of exhaust gas outlets 15 are formed at intervals in the direction of length in the exhaust gas distributing pipe 13, and an exhaust gas supply port 16 is formed in each branched pipe 4. The exhaust gas distributing pipe 13 is joined with each branched pipe 4 so that each exhaust gas outlet 15 of the exhaust gas distributing pipe 13 communicates with the exhaust gas supply port 16 of each branched pipe A. A stay section 21 which protrudes to a side and exists between adjacent branched pipes 4 is formed integrally on a peripheral wall of the exhaust gas distributing pipe 13. The stay section 21 is joined with each branched pipe 4.
