METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WET MOLDING

PURPOSE: To facilitate dewatering by pressurization without being followed by a counter flow of slurry by a method wherein pressure of a specified range of magnifications generated in a space during dewatering and pressurization is impressed to the slurry in the molding space from outside a molding space. CONSTITUTION: A valve 15 is opened, a slurry feeder 16 is operated, and slurry is injected into a molding cavity 4 by a specified pressure. Then, by lowering a die 1 after closing the valve 15, an upper punch 2 and a lower punch 3 are relatively displaced, and pressure molding is carried out while dewatering is carried out. By operating a pressure cylinder in the dewatering and pressurization process, the slurry is supplied toward to an injection opening 12. Thereby, the slurry in the molding cavity 4 can be inhibited from reversely flowing from the injection opening 12 in the dewatering and pressurization process. Since back up pressure of 1.5-3.0 times injection pressure of the slurry is applied to the slurry in the molding cavity by operation of a pressure cylinder 17, the counter flow is prevented.
