WAVEGUIDE/MICROSTRIP LINE CONVERTER

PURPOSE: To constitute a loop antenna into a short-depth conductive form by folding a loop antenna at two positions at different angles so that a loop plane can be formed orthogonally to the lengthwise direction of that cross section at the center of the lengthwise direction. CONSTITUTION: Between both through holes 31 and 32, a loop antenna 4 is connected so as to be protruded in the direction of a waveguide 2. Namely, one end of the loop antenna 4 is connected to the through hole 31 and conducted with conductive foils 33 and 35 on front and rear surfaces, and the other end is connected to the through hole 32 and connected to a microstrip line 34 but not conducted with the conductive foil 33. The loop antenna 4 is erected vertically to a dielectric substrate 3 in the state of being positioned rectangularly to the lengthwise direction of the waveguide crossing plane of the waveguide 2 at the center of that lengthwise direction, and folded at two positions at different inner angles. Thus, the waveguide/microstrip line converter can be easily provided.
