PAPER SHEETS IDENTIFICATION DEVICE AND MAGNETIC SENSOR ADJUSTMENT FOR THE DEVICE

PURPOSE: To provide a paper sheets identification device which is capable of easily and exactly performing the sensitivity adjustment of a magnetic sensor without frequently performing the human adjustment. CONSTITUTION: In the paper sheets identification device which is provided with the carrier path 1 of paper sheets, the magnetic sensor 2 provided on this carrier path 1 and an amplifier means amplifying the sensor output of the magnetic sensor 2, and identifies the authenticity and classification of paper sheets based on the output of the amplifier means, a control rocks controlling the gain of the amplifier means and a magnetic generation means 4 provided on the location opposed to the magnetic sensor 2. When the adjustment of the magnetic sensor 2 is performed, the sensor output obtained by the magnetic generated by the magnetic generation means 4 is amplified, gain is controlled so that the amplified sensor output may be the optimum value at the time of an identification and optimum sensor sensitivity is obtained at the time of identifying paper sheets.
