Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To produce a corrosion resistant sliding face constituting body showing excellent seizing resistance in a corrosive sliding environment. CONSTITUTION: A sliding face constituting body 4 is constituted of an assembly of Fe crystals. The area ratio A of hexagonal pyramid-shaped Fe crystals 6 in a sliding face 4a is regulated to 40 to 100%, and moreover, the content of Ni in the assembly is regulated to 1 to 4wt.%. Since the sliding face 4a shows a complicated aspect by the presence of many hexagonal pyramid-shaped Fe crystals 6, it has good oil retainability. Moreover, the sliding face constituting body 4 shows excellent corrosion resistance owing to the incorporation of Ni. Thus, the corrosion of each hexagonal pyramid-shaped Fe crystal 6 can be suppressed in a corrosive sliding environment, the same oil retainability can be maintained.
