Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a method for washing a metallic strip capable of removing the stains, such as oil-components and metallic powder, sticking to the surfaces of the metallic strips with high detergency at a low cost by a simple operation. CONSTITUTION: An alkaline washing liquid 8 prepd. by dissolving under pressurization compressed air 6 into an aq. alkaline soln. 7 is injected from spray nozzles 11a, 11b to the metallic strip 1, by which the rupture energy of the fine air bubbles formed from the air dissolved under pressurization is generated. The stains sticking to the metallic strip are removed by the synergistic effect of such rupture energy, the physical washing effect by the impingement energy of the washing liquid and the chemical washing effect by the alkaline component in the washing liquid.
