Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To uniformize velocity modulation effect over entire screen. CONSTITUTION: A differentiation circuit 16 differentiates a luminance signal and outputs a differentiation output signal and a horizontal parabolic gain control circuit 22 controls a gain so that the gain in the middle of a horizontal pattern period of the differentiation output signal is maximized and the gain for both left and right ends is minimized, and the signal is fed to a velocity modulation coil 15 via an adder 21. Thus, the velocity of electron beams is controlled to correct the contour of an image.
