Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain good NLO characteristic and good storage life even at a high temperature by using a member having a function including the nonlinear optical characteristics of matrix polyacetylene and the like. SOLUTION: Matrix polyacetylenes are used in a member requiring the nonlinear optical (chi ) characteristic of the matrix polyacetylene and the like as a function. The nonlinear optics(NLO) utilizes the characteristic of a material showing a polarization different from the linear relation ship P= o .chi .E (wherein o is permittivity, chi is dielectric susceptibility and E is field intensity) more than a specified field intensity. The polarization can be expressed as a non-linear function shown by the expression. In the expression, chi indicates primary dielectric susceptibility, chi indicates a secondary dielectric susceptibility and chi indicates a tertiary dielectric susceptibility. The nonlinear dielectric susceptibility chi , chi describe the NLO characteristics of the material, and each appears under the influence of high light intensity.
