Zusammenfassung:Prepn. of 2-fluorophenylhydrazine (I) or 2-fluorophenylhydrazine hydrochloride (I') comprises: (a) diazotisation of 2-fluoroaniline to give a diazonium salt; (b) redn. of this salt with bisulphite lye to give 2-fluorophenylhydrazine- alpha , beta -disulphonate, (c) saponification of this with hydrochloric acid to give (I'); (d) adding alkali lye to neutralise, cooling and filtering off pptd. (I); and (e) opt. converting this to (I') with HCl.
