Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a stability maintaining control device to maintain the stability of a vehicle in the operating condition, by conpensating the influence of a lateral force of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A brake liquid pressure control device (52 or the like) to give a braking force to the wheels (20 and the like) of a vehicle, according to at least the operation of a brake pedal 50, is provided, and a brake liquid pressure control device is controlled by a controller 4 regardless whether the vehicle is in the braking condition resulting from the operation of the brake pedal or not, and the braking force given to one side wheel in the lateral direction of the vehicle is regulated relatively to the braking force given to the other side wheel, so as to compensate the influence of the lateral force to the vehicle in the operation condition.
