CAR ROOF HAVING TWO COVER ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle roof including two cover elements selectively closing and partially opening an opening part. SOLUTION: A front roof element is constituted as a spoiler which can freely turn around a rotation axis 4 and lift its element rear edge, while a rear roof element can be lowered by an elevating mechanism and constructed as a sliding cover 3 by means of a sliding element 33 movable along a guide rail fixed to a roof. In this case, the spoiler 2 and the sliding cover 3 can be operated by a common driving device (driving cable). Both of the cover elements are forcibly operated independently in the different times, so that the sliding cover 3 can be moved with respect to the sliding element 33. Front and rear auxiliary sliding elements 26 automatically connected together by means of a locking member 30 vertically movable to the moving direction of the sliding element 33 is arranged. In this case, an elevating mechanism 6 for the spoiler 2 is pivoted to the front auxiliary sliding element, at the same time.
