MOLDING

PURPOSE: To obtain a molding which has biogradability, and excellent transparency, strength, toughness and gas barrier properties by forming one layer of lactic acid or lactide polycondensate and next one layer of polyvinyl alcohol having one or more repeating units. CONSTITUTION: Compound (A) applied to a molding is lactic acid or a lactide polycondensate. This is manufactured by a known means such as a method for dehydrating and polycondensing the acid or a method having the steps of dehydrating the acid, synthesizing lactide and then splitting and polymerizing the lactide. Similarly, compound (B) applied to the molding is polyvinyl alcohol, and obtained by saponifying polyvinyl acetate or acid by alkali. A laminate is obtained by a method having the steps of coextruding the compounds (A) and (B), inflation film molding it, coextrusion laminate molding it, further preparing a solution from the compound (B), and coating it.
