Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To obtain a fine aggregate improved in adhesivity to matrix, low cost and mass productivity, and capable of giving mortar concrete with higher mechanical strength, by baking a material consisting mainly of volcanic vitreous minerals. CONSTITUTION: A material consisting mainly of volcanic vitreous minerals is first ground to =5mm in diameter, which are, in turn, baked at 1000-1300 deg.C. Subsequently, the resultant granules are ground mainly through impact grinding among the granules and subjected to sharpness removal and granular size adjustment, thus obtaining the objective fine aggregate 0.4-1.0 in specific gravity, =60wt.% in yield. The aggregate with the rupture surface of honeycomb pattern is high in adhesive force to cement paste, leading to markedly improving the tensile strength and flexural strength of mortar concrete cured bodies incorporated with the aggregate.
