WAVEFORM EQUALIZER

PURPOSE:To facilitate performance verification to decide a program when an optional impulse response from a CPU is written in a memory, read repetitively, giving it to a waveform equalizer, and waveform equalization is controlled by the CPU. CONSTITUTION:A received television signal TV is given to a waveform equalization means comprising an adder 5 and a TF(transversal filter) 4 via a position (a) of a switch and to a timing signal generating circuit 1. A reference signal S is written in memories 6, 7 from the input and output of the waveform equalization means based on a timing signal TS from the circuit 1. The CPU 8 receives the signal S from the memories 6, 7 to obtain a tap coefficient of the TF 4, and it is written to the TF 4. A filter characteristic to cancel the distortion of the received signal TV is realized by the TF 4 and distortion is reduced by subtracting the signal from the television signal received by an adder 5. The correction is repeated to conduct waveform equalization.
