Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lithography plate according to the DTR process, particularly so as to have low minimum density and high gradient with improved sensitometry by using ascorbic acid. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing a lithography plate involves a stage to generate an image forming element with a photosensitive layer containing a silver halide emulsion and an image receiving layer containing a physical development nucleus having a water permeability relationship with the emulsion layer on a carrier according to the indicated order for the exposure thereof as per image, and then develop the image forming element using at least 0.1mol/L ascorbic acid as a main developer and an alkaline developer containing as an auxiliary developer composed as a group of at least 0.015mol/L of 1-phenyl-3-pyrazoridon in the presence of a silver halide solvent. In addition, the method conforms to the silver salt diffusion transfer process where the developer contains at least 0.003mol/L of thiosulfate.
