PRODUCTION OF AND PRODUCTION UNIT FOR FIBER-REINFORCED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN SHEET

PURPOSE: To provide the production method and unit for fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheets free from basis weight variation in the width direction. CONSTITUTION: In this production unit for fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheets by papermaking process, the inlet part 20 of a head box is divided by partition walls 21 at regular intervals to render the size of plural narrow parallel divided flow channels 22 smaller (flow disturbance control), a joining part 25 for divided flows is afforded in front of the divided flow channels 22 (restraining fan-shaped flow), divergence-controllable slice plates 26, 27 equal in width to the head box are placed at flow intervals on the tip of the joining part 25 (suppressing level-fluctuation), and the distributive feed ports 23A for the dispersion from a manifold are respectively opened by turning them to the direction other than the downstream side at the upstream parts of the respective divided flow channels 22 (dynamic pressure reduction).
