CONSTITUTION: This steel cord for reinforcing rubber articles is a 3 layer twisted steel cord comprising a central basic structure consisting of a steel filament, a coaxial layer consisting of 6 steel filaments arranged around the basic structure and an outermost coaxial layer having steel filaments one or two less than the filaments capable of being arranged on a circumscribed circle of the coaxial layer having 6 filaments. The filaments in the two coaxial layers are twisted in the same direction and have nonspiral structures having different pitches and no lap filaments of spiral.
