Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To provide a cushioning material useful as a helmet, having small initial deformation even by high impact strength, enlarging hysteresis loss with structural fracture, having excellent shock absorbing properties, comprising a molten foamed molding of a thermoplastic resin, etc. CONSTITUTION: This cushioning material 5 comprises a molten foamed molding or a gelatinized foamed molding of a thermoplastic resin such as PS. The foamed molding has 5% compression strain, >=0.5Kgf/ compression stress and preferably 5-15% compression strain and
