EQUIPMENT AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING HEAT INSULATION SHEET FOR SHIP

PURPOSE: To facilitate the conveyance and installation of a heat insulation sheet to a fitting surface by coiling the heat insulation sheet around a reel body which is in the coiling position, and fitting the heat insulation sheet to the fitting surface while this reel body is rolled. CONSTITUTION: In a fitting device 5, a heat insulation sheet 4 is fitted on a fitting surface 3a of a recessed part 3 between heat insulation panels 1, 2 installed on the lower heat insulation surface H of a tank of a ship. A main part of the fitting device 5 consists of a pair of rails 7, 8 arranged along the fitting surface 3a and a reel body 10 which has a supporting shaft 9 whose both ends are supported on the rails 7, 8 and coils the heat insulation sheet 4. After the heat insulation sheet 4 is coiled around the reel body 10 in the hexagonal coiling position A, the heat insulation sheet 4 is fitted to the fitting surface 30 while the reel body 10 is turned around the supporting shaft 9 along the rails 7, 8.
