SLUDGE-COLLECTING APPARATUS FOR VERTICAL TYPE STEAM GENERATOR

PURPOSE: To discharge collected sludges to the outside of a sludge-collecting box, without leaving them behind. CONSTITUTION: Water streams horizontally sprayred from jets 2 of sludge- lancing nozzle 3 each are turned to horizontal streams directed toward sludge- discharging ports 8. At the position of each of the sludge-discharging ports 8, the horizontal stream is run against peripheral walls in a sludge-collecting box 1 and is turned to an upward stream directed toward an inclined wall 5 under a water chamber 6 formed at the upper part of the periphery of the sludge-collecting box 1. At the position of each of the inclined walls 5, the upward stream is run against the inclined wall 5 and is turned to a horizontal stream directed toward the nozzle 3. In this way, the water streams from the nozzle 3 each are circulated in the sludge-collecting box 1 and collected sludges 12 each are discharged from the sludge-discharging ports 8 to the outside of the sludge-collecting box 1.
