Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter device which permanently functions though it can be prepared in a simple way. SOLUTION: In this filter device having a hollow cylindrical, pleated filter element 3 which is arranged concentrically around a cylinder axis and through which a medium to be filtered passes, seals are necessary for preventing the medium from leaking out and in many cases, the filter element constructed of filter paper must be fixed in place together with its pleats. Advantageously, an elastic composition 6 can be disposed as seals 4, 7 on at least one of the ends of the filter element 3. After curing, the elastic composition 6 has a sufficient residual elasticity and causes the pleats of the filter element 3 to be sealed and fixed.
